COERR church-based Volunteer Groups Rebuilt a House of the Vulnerable

   On February 5, 2023, the Executive Team of COERR church-based Volunteer Groups in Tharae-Nongsaeng Archdiocese, visited a house of a vulnerable family in Village no. 7, Tharae Subdistrict, Mueang Sakon Nakhon Distcrict, Sakon Nakhon Province. It was found that the structure of this house was only temporarily built and unstable that it might collapse and cause accident for people living inside.

   Then the team made a public announcement for raising funds, furniture as well as construction materials, etc., in order to rebuild a house that is safe for living.

   On March 26th, the house was removed. Later, the empty land was graded to prepare for the construction, which was planned to start after the Thai Traditional New Year festival, April 13-15, 2023.

   On April 20th, the team of 12 volunteers from St. Peter Church, Sampran, visited Tharae Subdistrict again and remained there for 10 days to build the house for this vulnerable family till finish.

   On April 30th, the new house handover and the House Blessing Ceremony were performed. The house construction was completed with the cooperation of all who concerned this vulnerable family.

   Tharae-Nongsaeng Archdiocese-based volunteers wished to thank all who supported this project for the poor and vulnerable, including Catholic organizations, local government organizations, who provided lodging and assistance for the St. Peter Volunteer group during the construction period, those donated construction materials, those provided sustenance support during 10 days of work that had driven this Loving and Serving Mission for the poor and vulnerable to success.
